Unfortunately black is the toughest shade to get out of the hair. If the color is recent you have a better chance of getting it out without damage. First thing to use is a product called Madulot its by schwartskopf. and will remove color without damage. You should have it done professionally because color removal is very tricky and you need a good eye with color. If that doesn't get you light enough then you would have to have it Bleached of the unwanted color then toned. This procedure is more damaging but very effective at getting you the results you want. Remember color doesn't lift color. So throwing a lighter shade on top of black will not lift the black it will only cause more damage do to the ammonia in color. Your hair is your best accessory Treat it well and you'll get lots of compliments.
