1st I really studied her then I asked my friend who is a makeup artist on CNN. (Eydie Marie of Eydie marie cosmetics) She's a real pro at latina & ethnic looks. We figured out that because Catherine Zeta Jones is a natural Beauty she doesn't usually wear to much makeup. And when she does her best look is where's smoky eyes and dark strong lips.
Evem though smoky eyes implys black and gray shades, this look can be done in any color.
Apply a neutral base on the entire lid
line the entire rim of the eye with a dark pencil be sure to get into the entire lash line so theres no space
then take a sponge applicator and smudge the liner.
then apply a dark powder eyeshadow right over the pencil to set it
then blend a medium shadow right above the dark shadow and encircle the eye Don't erase thedark line
the goal is to have a gradation of color.
Lips
use a pencil to shape the lip But watch that lip liner you don't want your friend to look like a transvestite. (LOL) Be sure it matches the lipstick. For a pout with staying power fill the entire lip with the pencil. Then apply a coat of lipstick on top then blot with a tissue.
If you apply with a lip brush Eydie says you'll have more control.
Then apply a thin layer of powder and apply again and then blot.
