I have never tried it before for the simple reason that I'm afraid it will cut my hair off. I don't believe in this gimick, I'd say it's like the rotating brush, garbage! it can get stuck in one's hair (the brush) What happens if one has layers and the sort. Look here is my advice, don't waste your money on that thing, there is no substitute for a cut from a trained hairstylist. It may cost you more than the split ender but at least you can be confident that the stylist knows what their doing and that you will be happy. Something that claims to cut your ends, but how does it truly know where the ends are.....It's all about getting and making money...don't be fooled
