What you need is Thermal reconditioning (aka japanese straightening). BKT does not take all the curl/wave out, it only smooths. With a TR you are able to let your hair air dry or finger blow dry and your hair comes out looking flat iron smooth. TR saved my hair. I do bkts to extend my TR since they are expensive. I feel bad you went through this because your stylist should have told you that styling may be easier with bkt, but it wont make it straight.
