During pregnancy you should avoid everything that could be absorbed into your skin and inhaled.
My personal opinion is that it would not be harmful to have the process done.
HOWEVER, If it was me or my loved ones, I would suggest waiting until your pregnancy is over as well as breast feeding. That includes hair coloring that touches the scalp.
