Debbie, please excuse my late reply...traveling again!
In my opinion Pro Active can be extremely drying to the skin and may be too strong if your daughter does not have really oily skin.
You donít want to over strip the skins natural oil production because it can cause the body to produce more oil and cause a never ending problem of give and take. Many I know have experienced dry, shaffing for weeks after using Pro Active and in my opinion giving up acne for dry patches is not a complete solution.
What I would suggest you consider is a visit to the dermatologist. There is a topical gel called Clindagel that has been very helpful to my friendís teen-age daughters that have break outs just like you described for your daughter.

This is prescribed only by doctors but seems to calm down the acne after a few weeks and with continued use (even when you donít see the acne) it appears to do very well. I suggest she continue using the cleanser because it is the best I know of. I donít say this because its mine, I say it because it is the best and will clean without stripping the pH. The Pumpkin Scrub is very good at un-clogging the pores and keeping them in check so that would be good to stick with as well. I am curious to know if your daughter uses foundation? If so, it would be good to switch to the Mineral Powders because foundation is often the culprit to acne problems. I do think a visit to the dermatologist is well worth the cost in the long run and do ask specifically about the Clindagel Gel because it is one I know of that does not seem to over dry the skin, and provides good results thus far.
Please keep in touch with me as I would like to know if my recommendations have been of help.
