Anna, let me first apologize for responding at such a late date and only hope I can still be of some help. I am not sure which mineral powder you are using but I know certain ones do contain SPF; these would be the pressed powders. What I recommend is to use a moisturizer that contains a SPF of 15-20 prior to applying your mineral powder. Foundations usually have a spf of 8 (normally) and that is not strong enough to really protect your skin for long periods of time, you really need 15-20 and if your in the sun for really long periods of time you are going to need 35-45, or higher. The problem is that the higher the number of SPF the more oily, greasy, and heavy the product tends to be. So any product with a SPF of more than 25 will be very rich and not something you would want to be using in combination with any foundation...especially powders because this will create havoc on your pores. Those with oily complexions are best off sticking with a light moisturizer containing SPF of 15-20. My Pro-Vita C Day Moisturizer is and excellent product, not greasy, contains SPF 15 and offers UVA and UVB protection. I do hope this can be of help.
