Trends: Full of Energy and Lots of Pizazz for Fall/Winter 2000
Are
you ready? Lets go shopping!
Denim
and leather are the hottest must have clothing items for this year's
fashion forecast. Both denim and leather will be available
in many different shades to choose from this year. Mix in animal
prints and snakeskin to accessorize these wonderful garments and
you will have a winning combination.
This season's shoes and boots will still sport a chunky heel.
Boots that go all the way to the knee will be in high fashion
when these boots are worn with a skirt it gives you that funky mid-seventies
look, which is still in full swing.
Let's get ready to accessorize that special outfit. Weather
it's casual or formal, you need to purchase the basics. In the casual
arena you need just the few staples such as animal prints in belts,
shoes or hand bags. Also, snakeskin in an imitation version will
work. Next purchase to consider would be two pairs of blue jeans
with a basic men's white dress shirt and a vest. To dress the feet
a casual clog would work with any outfit. In addition, you may also
want to purchase some kakhi pants as staple items.
In the formal department fishnet hosiery are back in most stores.
They are a must if you are that trendy girl who likes to stay
on top of things. They look great on wool or leather skirts and
are available in an assortment of colors.
When purchasing that perfect home-coming dress, remember class
and elegance is the look you are striving for. Stay away from
short and revealing. A long dress just off the shoulder with a pashmina
will be the perfect choice for that perfect look. Add to this a
rhinestone necklace and earrings or a simple pair of pearls for
that a beautiful classic appeal.
Your jewelry this season is fun and innovative. It is that
simple fashion statement that tells the world of exactly who we
are. It is also one of the most important pieces to the overall
look of the outfit. Choker necklaces, along with beaded antique
pieces should be a part of this season's jewelry wardrobe. The biggest
hit of all are the gold or silver hoop earrings and the bigger the
better!
Our next topic of discussion is hair styles. A very chopped
or razor edged cut, mixed with long layers is definitely the fad
for Fall 2000. In addition, we have just the solution for those
bad hair days - pony tail clips on hair pieces. They blend perfectly
with your own hair and are very easy to use. They are fun and exciting
and can give your look just the lift you need. For more information

Last but not least, the make-up trend and colors for Fall 2000
are a heavy jeweled tone frost for the eyes, lips and nails.
Blending different eye shadows of three colors will be the in-thing.
Remember that your top color just below the eyebrow should be a
white or silver frost, combined with any two frost colors for the
crease shades. Another helpful hint is to keep your eyebrows and
lip areas clean by waxing or plucking. This will make your overall
appearance much more appealing. Eye liners are heavier on top and
thinner on bottom. Lip shades are lighter gold metallic frosts or
silver metallic frosts with just a hint of color to them.
NOTE: Keep your nails and lips the same color. It will show
consistency in your overall appearance.
To the young women to whom I am addressing this article, please
try and remember that you can follow all the fashion trends with
clothing and accessories, and still have taste and class. Revealing
too much is never appropriate, but being fashionable, up-to-date
and tastefully put together will always be attractive and will never
go out of style.
Until next time, have a healthy and happy school year and a great
homecoming season!
Best wishes,
