All
women want to keep their youthful appearance as they are maturing.
Many try to accomplish this by being "trendy" Instead, we believe
women should stay current and updated with their looks.
What
is the difference, you ask? Plenty, is the answer to this question!
In this article we will be addressing what works for what age
groups. See if you are following the advice given in your daily
choices for putting yourself together. Are you ready? Here we
go!
Teenage
Years
In
those wonderful teenage years of self-discovery, our advice is
to do everything! Simply because you can. This is a time of experimentation
and creativity, the words "fad" and "trend" are the key phrases.
Parents should realize this and go with the flow, as much as possible.
This too will pass as they mature. Young adults want to fit in,
especially at school. Mom, you must reflect on your youthful years
and be as understanding and patient, as possible.
Our advice is be young, enjoy and just have fun!
The
Roaring Twenties
Continuing on to those ladies in their roaring twenties, it's
a time of development. Most things will still work, however, now
you're learning to use all the tools to your advantage, such as,
a nice clean matte finish to your make-up application and your
hairstyles
a little more controlled. Only on weekends and not in the office
are you comfortable doing all the latest fads and trends. Your
skin, hair and body are beautiful. You look great in knit dresses,
micro-minis and mid riff tops, your basically a "cool girl", in
a fun mood for the weekend.
Our advice to all those great ladies in there twenties: enjoy
life, look good, but most importantly, feel good about yourself.
You all have it within yourself to go out and conquer the world!
Thirty
Something Ladies
Now,
where are all of our thirty something ladies? This is when life
really becomes interesting. You are starting to notice changes
in your body, skin and hair. Mother Nature lets us know just how
fast she can sneak upon us. Now is when we must start to use all
the knowledge we have learned to cover up those little challenges.
Remember that ladies of all ages look much more appealing when
they are covered up. It
communicates self-assurance, posture and class. Unfortunately,
there are some ladies in their late thirties starting to feel
they must compensate for the aging process and try too hard. One
of the biggest mistakes made by women is trying too hard. Feeling
beautiful is really the key. When turning thirty it feels good
to realize that what everyone else is doing just does not matter
anymore. When this happens, you will understand, and the pressures
will be off. Your look will become less dramatic and more confident.
We will say this again, stay current, try a shorter hairstyle,
and update your eye frames, if needed, less make-up, and use a
matte powder foundation. Go a little lighter on the eye area,
but most importantly; add to your wardrobe a few pieces of classic
style garments, for a more sophisticated, self-assured look!
Fabulous
Forties
We
have reached the fabulous forties and we are excited about addressing
this age group. You pass over the whole vanity issues. Show us
what is comfortable, what works best, with the least amount of
effort, and you're ready to go! Can you relate? Being in your
forties in the new millennium is definitely not fatal, it's refreshing.
It has simplicity and just seems to work Remember there was a
time when forty did not look as youthful as it does today. We
believe a youthful forty-year old lady, in general has a bette r
understanding of what works and what doesn't, through education.
Knowledge is power; we believe this to be so true. It's reflected
in the way these fabulous forties are presenting themselves. Get
a few highlights in your hair and a sassy shoulder length cut.
It never hurts at this age! Do not use frost eye shadows, it tins
to creases and will age us. Make sure your eyebrows extend all
the way out, to the end of the brow bone. Again, use matte powder
foundations for a clean finish. When dressing, just use your knowledge
combined with common sense, and we believe you will be right on
track. A good hem length is just above the knee, unless your legs
are still in great shape. This summer hem-lengths can be a bit
higher, with a bare leg, and strappy sandle or muse. Hair style
will be determined by your face shape, usually no longer than
shoulder length at this age. Hair color will be determined by
your skin undertone. You can still get away with a lot, however,
a conservative look seems to be your best choice.
Fifties
and Beyond
For
those glamorous fifties and beyond, you are amazing. You are at
the best place and time in your life. Life is less complicated.
Being a grandmother means a great deal more than caring about
what others think of your looks, and most importantly you are
comfortable in your skin. Your sense of self-assurance just seems
to shine through and your looks is nostalgic. You should look
forward to these years; it's so peaceful and serene. Your clothing
should be classic all the way. A nice pair of Pendelton Pants,
classic style blazer and blouse will take you almost anywhere.
Casual dressing with Ralph Lauren women's attire seems to work
beautifully. For a formal gathering, a classic black dress with
all the trimmings will just be fabulous. Your make-up should be
clean, use a matte powder foundation, eyes lightly done, and hair
current. If you are graying, stay extremely short and do not color
your hair, it's beautiful just the way it is. Believe it or not,
your timeless and ageless beauty will captivate most women.

Something to remember, age is a number and/or a perception. How
you project yourself is how you will be perceived.
