SMOKE GETS ON YOUR EYES
It's the Season For Sexy, Smouldering, Come-Hither Eyes
Cameron, Lucy, Drew, Jennifer. Julia. Today's hottest movie stars know how to heat up the atmosphere with their sexy come-hither eyes. Here's how you can send smoke signals to your favorite leading man whenever you've got a mind to:
It's the Magic of Light and Dark. Before you even start to smoulder, create contrast by dotting a little highlighter in white or gold at the inside corner, right by the inside corners of the nose. It also gives your face a big, wide-eyed look. If you end up smudging a little of your liner or shadow over the highlighter by mistake, just reapply when you're done with the smoky stuff.
Think Dark - But Not Always Black - Thoughts. Try out some navy blues, expresso browns, deep purples and forest greens when you're shopping mascaras, eyeliners and shadows. Today's sexiest eyes have more than one way to smoulder.
Throw in Some Lightening. Go ahead and layer on your favorite smoky shadow or even two - but add the lift of just a dot of gold, platinum white or silver right in the middle of the lid to keep the eye from receding too much.
Liner Luxe. Liquid liner is by far the coolest way to go these days. But it's also the trickiest to apply. Stroke it on then follow with a cotton swab to clean off the excess or tidy up wobbly edges so the line is smooth, even and neat. You can add to liquid liner's staying power by letting it dry then stroking a lick of crayon or pencil color right on top.
Monster Lashes. Give the skimpiest lashes mega-power with the latest high intensity mascaras in indigo, purple, or green. They're especially effective when they match your shadow and liner. Apply one or two coats. Then take a break and wait a few minutes before you go back and apply a few more, so your lashes don't get too wet and stick together.
Combine Smoke with Shine. If all this smudge and smoke seems too intense for you, dip your pencil or eye shadow applicator in a little baby oil then stroke it over your lids to blend in lots of shine with the smoke for a sheer veil of color. together..
