A Lock On Your Hair - Peter Lamas Hair Tips
It's the
season to show off your hair. Long or short, curly or straight, in any
color, Peter's tips will make it your crowning glory and the best accessory
of all.
SHINE
DIVINE. Slide a heated flat iron over blown-straight hair,
in a downward motion. The flatter the hair shaft the more it reflects
light,
AS
THE CURL TURNS. The curving structure of curly hair can keep
it from reflecting light as well as straight hair. Look for styling products
with tiny, shimmering lights or light-reflectant polymers to make your
tendrils sparkle and shine. Use on wet or dry hair as directed and blow-dry,
if desired.
VOLUME
UP. Spray on your volumizing products while hair is still damp
and blow-dry as usual. Your hair will look as super lush as you want it
to be without the stiff quality you get when you spray on previously dried
hair. Recommended: Lamas Botanicals Rice Protein

CLOTHES
CALLS. Contrast is the secret. Draw all eyes to your hair by
wearing colors that offer the maximum contrast to your hair color.
- Blondes
or Redheads
turn heads with black, charcoal, chocolate and navy.
- Brunettes
draw raves with light colors, like creams, peach, yellow, camel and
tan.
- Grey,
Salt & Pepper or White Hair look sensational next to bright
pinks, purples, greens and blues.
SNOW
BLOWERS. Dandruff is caused by an inflammatory condition that
causes the scalp to be oily and flake off in tiny white flakes.
Contrary
to popular opinion, dandruff isn't caused by drying out the scalp or by
blowdrying and heat styling. Blow the snow off your scalp and shoulders
with a dandruff shampoo (like my Chinese Herb Shampoo), 2-3 times a week.

Scalp Stimulating Shampoo
How to tell
if its dandruff or if your scalp is dry? Your scalp is dry if it feels
tight and itchy and you find fine scalp flakes in your hair. If its dandruff,
you scalp could look inflamed, you notice hair gets oily rapidly and you
find flakes not only in your hair but even in your eyebrows. Flakes tend
to be bigger, too.
For either
condition, your best defense is a good offense. To restore a dry scalp
to normal, use an extra moisturizing shampoo and conditioner plus non-alcohol
styling products and hair spray. Recommended:

For dandruff
conditions, Use dandruff shampoos 2-3 times a week. Don't use more often
than that, because you risk drying out your scalp in addition to your
dandruff condition - double snow storm! Alternate with an oily skin shampoo
and light conditioner. Don't over-lather, you'll just kick up the oil
production another notch. Condition only on the ends or to permit hair
to be combed tangle-free. Recommended: Lamas
Botanicals Wheatgrass Deep Cleansing Shampoo with Soy Balancing Conditioner
