1. |
Use
a mild, unscented cleanser and warm water. |
|
2. |
Wash
with your fingertips, not a loofah or washcloth. |
|
3. |
Use
an alcohol-free toner or witch hazel or skip it completely
if you find it irritates or burns. |
|
4. |
Avoid
using strong products with Retin A, AHAs or Glycolic
Acid every day. Save them for an intensive care session,
once or twice a week. |
|
5. |
If
you do use Retin A, Vitamin C or glycolic acid products
1-2x a week, you can buffer them by mixing them with
moisturizer. Don't use more than one of these strong
treatments at a session. Pre-test on your neck or wrist
when in doubt. |
|
6. |
Use
PABA-free sunblock. |
|
7. |
Rosacea
patients should avoid spicy foods, caffeine, alcohol,
sun exposure, saunas and steam baths. |
|
8. |
If
redness or irritation persist, see your dermatologist.
