Help!
Zit Emergency! What's the solution you described on TV?!
I do not recommend this procedure all the time, but in an emergency, as
I stated on the program. It will quickly eliminate the inflammation of
the break out on occasions when your appearance is important, i.e. weddings,
photo sessions, special events - where you don't have a lot of time. This
can solve the problem quickly. As for the procedure, it involves first
making sure that the area that you are concerned with has been thoroughly
cleaned, followed by applying a septic stick, like the kind men use when
they cut themselves shaving, to take care of any bacteria. Second, saturate
a cotton ball with Visine and put it on the breakout. Leave it on for
a few minutes to help reduce the redness. Then apply a small amount of
Preparation H - dab it on the breakout only (carefully) and within minutes
it should reduce the swelling. Then wipe off any residue and continue
to apply your makeup. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT near or around the eye area.
And remember this technique I have explained should only be used in rare
instances. Thank you for your question. THIS PROCEDURE IS NOT AN ACNE
CURE!
What
can I do about dark circles under eyes?
If they are very, very prominent sometimes surgery is the only way to
alleviate this condition, but I generally "do not" recommend
this option unless you've explored all other options. I am introducing
in 30-60 days on BeautyWalk an eye care product that can firm, hydrate
and nourish they eye area, with a further benefit of lightening dark circles
in time. This product could probably be of benefit to many experiencing
this condition. In the mean time there are the old fashioned home remedies
that include cucumber compresses and/or ice compresses that could be of
temporarily benefit to reduce the bagginess, but this to me is a band-aid
approach.
So be patient, try to find something in the meantime, and please take
a look at my concealer article in the BeautyWalk web site. This article
will enlighten you on how to use a makeup concealer under the eyes correctly.
I use a little myself because I have dark under eye circles, though they've
been greatly reduced through time using the eye care product soon to be
made available on BeautyWalk. I still need a small amount of concealer
when I'm appearing on TV or having photographs taken. Again, review the
concealer article, it can help a great deal on the proper use and application
of concealers.
Are
you coming out with any skin care products/repair solutions?
Yes I have introduced what I consider to be one of the finest and easy
to use skin care lines on the market. "Vital
Infusion Complex" It is a Cosmeceutical approach to
skin care, not your typical over the counter hopes and dreams in a jar.
What makes this skin care line so unique is the technological approach
I have used in formulating the line. It consist of three products containing
these major ingredients including C-Ester, Alpha Lipoic acid, and DMAE.
One will be used at night. "Pro-Vita
C plus Vital Infusion Complex" This product helps the
skin's appearance to look and be healthier, improve its elasticity, diminish
lines and wrinkles, and increasing firmness - allowing the skin to look
younger, healthier and more radiant. All this is accomplished with a unique
delivery system. The second and third products are to be used during the
daytime and applied in the morning. The eye gel "Pro-Vita
C Eye Maintenance Gel" that firms, nourishes, hydrates
and even help lighten dark under eye circles. This is applied carefully
around the upper and lower eye area. The third product "Pro-Vita
C Moisturizer SPF 15" is for the face as a day moisturizer
with SPF 15. It contains powerful antioxidant vitamins, botanicals and
beneficial ingredients all providing hydrating capabilities and defense
against the environment. A fourth product is a multi purpose Vitamin C
cleanser, which can be used as both a face and body wash. "Citrus-C
Face & Body Wash" This product removes makeup, imbedded
dirt and impurities and yet not disturb the skin's natural PH levels -
leaving you feel thoroughly clean, moist and natural. I have used, during
the course of my career, many different skin care brands, but I've never
felt as excited about recommending a product line like the one I am introducing.
It has the ability to truly provide results and performance.
What
suggestions do you have for acne and blackheads?
Get a cleanser containing salicylic acid. This will help clear the skin
in an obvious way. I think the salicylic cleanser will make a big difference.
There are lines that are specifically designed for acne breakouts, and specifically
address teenage and/or adult acne. Please try to find a line of skin care
products like this, especially a line that contains salicylic acid in its
cleanser. You should also seek the advice of a dermatologist. Generally
people with oily skin tend to have large pores. And if that's the case,
you will have them all through your life. The secret to maintaining a visibly
smaller appearance to your pores is to use a good cleanser, an astringent
once a day, and maybe once or twice a week a clay mask (to draw out the
oils and impurities that could clog the pores which makes them visibly larger).
Proper skin maintenance will help your pores look visibly smaller and will
keep blemishes and acne breakouts from occurring. I also suggest checking
out some of my articles on the web site. There's a lot of great information
there, which I know will be very helpful. Anything
I can do about broken veins and capillaries (spider veins)?
Use a yellow-based concealer. I would recommend one from Bobby Brown or
MAC. Yellow always cancels the blue coloring affect that your veins produce.
Also, in these areas, after applying the concealer - give it a couple minutes
to dry, apply a foundation in these particular areas with a foundation called
Derma Blend This can be found in most high end department stores. This line
is specifically designed for heavy coverage of scars, birthmarks and prominent
veins. With a touch of powder after both applications, it will help set
the foundation and hold it in it place for a longer period of time.
What
can I do to contour my cheeks? If you want to bring out
more of the cheekbones, before putting on your blush give yourself some
contouring right underneath the cheekbones with a medium dark, beige blush
powder or cream. Once applied, make sure to blend and contour at an angle
- slightly from the center of your cheek almost to the hairline but not
quite. Make sure to apply and blend under the cheekbone, not on the cheekbone.
After it is finished lightly apply your blush on the cheekbone - and blend
the edges together. Try to emphasize either lips or eyes, but not both.
You will get a more clear understanding of what I am explaining by looking
at the article entitled "Contouring" located on BeautyWalk,
which provides easy to follow content. Seek the articles on blush application,
which will also contain the "how to's" of contouring, and other
articles including "Custom Eyes" & "Custom Lips".
By following the directions and practicing these techniques you will be
amazed at the end results. Just be patient and have fun - experiment.
