Q:
Is liposuction permanent?
Dr.
Loftus Answers: Liposuction removes some but not all of your
fat cells. The cells that are removed are permanently removed.
Those that remain, however, can enlarge in response to future
weight gain or change in metabolism. Thus, the results achieved
through liposuction are not always permanent. The best way to
maintain your results is through sensible diet and exercise.
